Nike Air Max 96 Supreme Silver Bullet

The Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 “Silver Bullet” is one of the colorways of the retro running shoe designed by the New York based streetwear brand in 2021. While contemporaries like the Nike Air Max 1 and Air Max 90 are among the most readily available models offered by Nike, the Air Max 96 is obscure. Some would argue that’s the very reason why Supreme chose the model for its Spring/Summer 2021 collection.

The streetwear brand modifies the design with translucent panels to its side profile. The new look replaces the “tooth”-like mesh panels that were on the original Air Max 96. The upper is constructed in leather with mesh detailing around the collar and eyelets, all with a green camo print. An embroidered Swoosh appears on the lateral heel. Supreme branding can be found beneath the embroidered Swoosh on the top of the tongue and around the edges of the tongue. A reflective silver Supreme box logo is located on the back of the shoe. The Air Max 96’s visible Air units in the midsole are reminiscent of the design of the Air Max 95 with visible Air in the heel and forefoot.
